  • Mike McCracken - EVP, Director of Business Banking

    Mike McCrackenMike serves as the Director of Business Banking at First Midwest Bank. In this role, Mike manages the commercial sales activity of clients, and works to develop and implement strategies, plans, and programs for the business banking function. Mike comes from Popular Community Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President over the Illinois region.

    Mike has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. At Popular, he served as the Illinois Region Executive, and oversaw 12 retail branches in the Chicago metropolitan area, as well as managing the region’s business banking, middle market, and commercial real estate groups. He also served as their National Middle Market Head, as well as a Division Head at American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago.

    Mike received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, and his graduate degree from DePaul University. He currently serves on the boards for Operation Hope, a non-profit organization providing financial literacy empowerment and economic education, and Accion Chicago, an organization committed to bringing affordable microfinance solutions to small business owners.

    • Adnan Assad - SVP, Group Head of Business Banking

      Adnan AssadAdnan oversees First Midwest Bank's Business Banking Division for Cook County and Northwest Indiana. He has excelled in over 16 years of progressive banking experience in managing credit, lending, business development and sales. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Illinois in Chicago.

      Committed to the community for over 15 years, Adnan serves on the board for three local organizations, Heartland Alliance, Christopher House and Healthcare Alternative systems.

      Adnan grew up in Chicago but currently resides in Orland Park, IL with his wife Shay and two boys, Jude and Rayan.

      • Rick Mahoney - SVP, Group Head of Business Banking

        Rick MahoneyRick oversees First Midwest Bank's Business Banking activities for DuPage and Will Counties. He has been a Commercial Banker in the Chicago market for more than 30 years and has started, grown and managed various Business Banking teams at First Midwest since his arrival in early 2010. Rick graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree and received his MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago.

        Actively involved in many economic development and charitable organizations in west Cook and Du Page counties throughout his career, Rick is a resident of the Western Suburbs of Chicago and supports causes on children, health care and education.

        • Steve Rankins - SVP, Group Head of Business Banking

          Steve RankinsSteve oversees First Midwest Bank's Business Banking Division for Lake and McHenry Counties. He has over 25 years of commercial and industrial lending experience, specializing in manufacturers, distributors and service clients. He has helped fund strategic acquisitions including leveraged buyouts as well as working capital lines of credit, new equipment and commercial real estate. Steve earned his Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and his MBA from Webster University.

          Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Centegra Health System Foundation and the McHenry County College Foundation. Steve also served on several committees with the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation and actively supports Pioneer Center in McHenry, IL.

          Steve is a native of Woodstock, IL and currently lives in McHenry, IL with his wife Jennifer and two children, Andrew and Sarah.
